करुंगाली माला
Bold 8 mm ebony beads for protection, focus & devotion
Believed to guard against negativity, bad energy and buri nazar.
Traditionally worn to ease the effects of Mangal (Mars) and Shani.
Linked with Mangal’s strong, fearless energy.
The bigger beads are easy to hold and count while chanting.
Linked with Lord Murugan and Lord Shiva.
Natural Karungali (black ebony wood) mala with bigger 8 mm round beads and a golden-yellow tassel. Heavier and bolder than our 6 mm mala, so it is great for japa (chanting) and stands out when worn. Comes in a sealed pack with a Jaipur Solitare Lab certificate for a Natural Karungali Mala (about 32.79 g).
Karungali is the Tamil name for black ebony, a dark, heavy wood that grows very slowly. In South Indian tradition it is linked with Lord Murugan, and Karungali malas have long been used by devotees for chanting and protection. Karungali is also connected with Mangal (Mars) and Shani in astrology.
Anyone, of any rashi, age or gender. Ideal for people who chant daily, devotees of Lord Murugan, and those who like a bolder look. Often suggested for Mesh and Vrishchik (ruled by Mangal) and Makar and Kumbh (ruled by Shani).
