Large tube-shaped beads of Opalite that glow milky white with a soft blue shine, and turn golden when held up to the light. Strung on stretch cord, so it fits most wrists. Please note: Opalite is a man-made glass, created to look like opal and moonstone.

The story

Opalite was first made by glass-makers who mixed glass with tiny amounts of metal to copy the gentle glow of opal and moonstone. Even though it is man-made, many crystal lovers use it for calm and smooth change, because its soft glow reminds them of the moon, which in Vedic astrology is Chandra, the ruler of the mind and feelings.

Anyone, of any rashi, age or gender. A good pick for someone going through a big change, and a pretty gift for friends and family.

How to wear

• Best first worn on a Monday, the day of Chandra (the Moon).
• Hold it in your palm, think of a fresh start you want, then wear it.
• Can be worn on either wrist.

Care

• Opalite is glass, so it can chip or crack if dropped or knocked. Handle gently.
• Remove before bathing, swimming or applying perfume.
• Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Cleanse occasionally under moonlight overnight.
